Topic: This session would explore the role of AI, particularly computer vision and deep learning, in identifying and analyzing biomarkers of aging from retinal images. The work contributes to advancements in personalized medicine and early detection of age-related diseases.
Speaker: Dejan Babic
About Speaker: Dejan Babić holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology at the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), where he is involved in both research and teaching. His main research focus is on using AI to identify non-invasive biomarkers of aging, with broader interests in the practical use of artificial intelligence, IoT, high-performance computing (HPC), and blockchain technologies in various domains. He has been involved in various projects exploring how these technologies can be applied in areas such as healthcare, smart systems, and supply chain traceability. He regularly participates in AI-related workshops and recently took part in a panel discussion organized by the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences. In addition, he contributes to youth STEM education as an evaluator in the First Lego League Challenge competition.
