The Balkan Edition of the BioExcel Workshops organized as part of the Ambassador programme took place on May 21\u201322, 2025 in hybrid format \u2013 with attendants on-site at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria and online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 40 participants from 10 countries enjoyed inspiring lectures from top BioExcel experts \u2013 Alexandre Bonvin, Alessandra Villa, Bert de Groot and Andrey Alekseenko \u2013 on introduction to HADDOCK, GROMACS and PMX and performance optimization of GROMACS. All lectures were followed by hands-on sessions on the Discoverer supercomputer. The event was a highlight for the local biomolecular modeling communities. We all learned a lot and enjoyed a lively atmosphere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
